I recently discovered a new creative playground, making lumen prints. I have always known of this process, but not in the way that I discovered it. The process I have known it to be was by taking old sheets of unexposed black and white photo paper and placing objects or negatives on top as if you were going to make a photogram but instead of using an enlarger you would take the paper out in the sun. I never knew that […]
Coming into a new field of dreams, a new output and new frame of mind with a focus on my own true objectives. Why do I enjoy photographing people when the opportunity sets itself before me? I love emotion. Emotions are powerful and meaningful and they remind me of our own human reality. Fear, happiness, anger, joy, surprise, strength, weakness, pain, sadness, excitement and all emotions in between..they are beautiful, they are real. They are all part of what defines […]
I have posted this project before … I am posting this again! In 2014 I had the idea of starting a project with people who were following my personal blog. “The telephone Tag Project” Just as in the game telephone tag, a word or phrase gets passed on from one person to the next but in this case it will be a photograph created by you. So how do we begin? For those who are interested, send me […]
The last few weekends I have been traveling out on the road visiting different areas of Montreal. I have never been one to really photograph landscapes but I have come to really enjoy it. I decided to walk about with my 4×5 pinhole camera and my Minolta XD. I received 3 rolls of expired Agfa APX 100 film for Christmas, it is a film I love to use. Here is one of my favorites so far photographed with my Minolta XD:
I thought I would include a video I had made a while ago in this post on a quick rundown of the cyanotype process: I am really looking forward for the summer months! Although you can use artificial lighting,( U.V lighting such as work lights), for the last step in the cyanotype process, I rather and love using the sun! In my own personal experience, I feel the tonal range comes out richer and better. Looking forward to posting some new […]
I am so proud to announce that two of my image will be exhibited at A Smith Gallery in Johnson City, Texas! This is really exciting. My first set of self-portraits exhibited!
I love the cyanotype process! The season is just around the corner and I cannot wait for those hot summer days to arrive. Although I had already been looking into trying the cyanotype process for a while before it now being one of my favourite techniques to work with , it was not until I came across this blog, Photoeidolon, about 4 years ago which had inspired me to go deeper and to give it a go. What inspired me when I had […]
This was anew challenge for me. I have not really used paper for pinhole photography, so there was a lot of guesswork on this trek out in the great outdoors. It was an experience I plan to take on more often.
