Lumen Prints – Part 4 Previous posts on lumen prints: Lumen Prints – Part 1 Lumen Prints – Part 2 Lumen Prints – Part 3 In the beginning, I thought the paper that I was using with this technique was a “specialized” paper of some sort because of the light orange color tint I noticed the paper had. Thinking this was the case and wanted to be sure, I contacted Joterman Otero /(lumen_box), to find out exactly what paper it was […]
Lumen Prints – Part 3 Previous posts on lumen prints: Lumen Prints – Part 1 Lumen Prints – Part 2 In the last few weeks, I was able to really dig in deep with the lumen camera. I have learnt quite a bit during this time and I have come up with a few tips that I think can be valuable to you if you are thinking of giving this a try. Do not drench the paper in water. […]
Lumen Prints – Part 2 Previous post: Lumen Prints – Part 1 I wanted to share with you my first experience with the Lumen box camera. I actually have been trying to test a few weekends before I did this one but unfortunately I was bummed out due to rain. I decided this time around to give it a shot rain or shine on my balcony. This was a day where the weather was very inconsistent which made it tricky for […]
I recently discovered a new creative playground, making lumen prints. I have always known of this process, but not in the way that I discovered it. The process I have known it to be was by taking old sheets of unexposed black and white photo paper and placing objects or negatives on top as if you were going to make a photogram but instead of using an enlarger you would take the paper out in the sun. I never knew that […]
Coming into a new field of dreams, a new output and new frame of mind with a focus on my own true objectives. Why do I enjoy photographing people when the opportunity sets itself before me? I love emotion. Emotions are powerful and meaningful and they remind me of our own human reality. Fear, happiness, anger, joy, surprise, strength, weakness, pain, sadness, excitement and all emotions in between..they are beautiful, they are real. They are all part of what defines […]
I am so proud to announce that two of my image will be exhibited at A Smith Gallery in Johnson City, Texas! This is really exciting. My first set of self-portraits exhibited!
This was anew challenge for me. I have not really used paper for pinhole photography, so there was a lot of guesswork on this trek out in the great outdoors. It was an experience I plan to take on more often.
Some behind the scenes images with artist and photographer Randal Mayer. This was my very first session of pinhole portraits that took place last weekend and here are the first set of paper negatives. If you are an artist in Montreal,(welcoming all types and styles), interested in being part of a creative collaboration, please visit the link down below for detailed information: “LIGHT. TIME.
